Making a Maple & Walnut trestle table with an inlaid Walnut river featureby Mike Miller
I don't know quite what to call it, but I can tell you it checks a few boxes when it comes to woodworking buzzwords.... I think I hit everything but kumiko on this build.
Buzzwords aside, there is one buzzword missing from this river table build and that is Epoxy. I don't have anything against epoxy... but I wanted to do something I hadn't seen before, and make a river table. So i set out to the lumber rack to choose some boards and begin the milling process.
This is my first trestle table, and I will say I enjoyed the build. This piece has a very sturdy construction made with thru-tenons and dowel joinery will last for generations.
