The most frequently used tools in my shop my joiner’s mallet. I use my mallet for finesse work like tapping chisels and carving tools, as well as more blunt force actions like banging parts together or forcing a panel flat during glue-up. I have made a half dozen or so joiner’s mallets for myself and friends. Every time going with a different size and design. I settled on this size and design a few years ago, its not my personal design but one I read about and modified for my version of the “perfect mallet”.
These mallets measure roughly 12 inches long, but 6 inches across and 3 inches wide. I find this is a good median size/weight for many different tasks around the shop.
I have some friends and family that have requested mallets, so I made a few extra. If people seem to like these, I will likely re-stock occasionally.
Each Mallet is pictured, the first picture for each mallet will be labeled. When purchasing your mallet, choose the option that represents the mallet you want.
